What is e- commerce week and what’s its purpose
What is e- commerce week and what’s its purpose The e-commerce week now in its fourth edition is today the leading forum for high level policy makers entrepreneurs, international organizations, development banks, academics and civil society to discuss the development opportunities and challenges associated with the evolving digital economy. We are strongly convinced that multi stakeholder dialogue is essential to help policymakers explore holistic approaches for leveraging new technologies to boost jobs, trade and growth in the new digital world. The 2017 e-commerce Week was attended by 1000 representatives from governments, international organizations, the private sector and civil society from 99 countries with 170 speakers and moderators. More than 30 sessions addressing policy –relevant topics we organized in collaboration between 30 partners. The 2018 edition will offer the same opportunities for fruitful policy exchange lessons-learning and good- practices sharing high-level encounters, public-private conversation and networking opportunities. Now around half of antibiotics produced globally in being used in agriculture and livestock which in increasing antibiotic resistance among human consumers and if it continues to grow unchecked the result will be catastrophic.
